The TEN LITTLE Series

The Ten Little books, published by Orchard, have been best-sellers since the first one, Ten Little Pirates, was published. Written by me and brilliantly illustrated by Simon Rickerty, there are more books coming soon. They've frequently topped Amazon's lists, and regularly feature prominently in Waterstone's Picture Book charts.

In March 2019, the Ten Little Bookworms had the honour of being chosen as one of the WORLD BOOK DAY books. The latest addition to the family is Ten Little Bugs, which I think looks particularly fetching with its iridescent, green cover. Watch out for Ten Little Monsters this Hallowe'en, and check out the brand new twinkly red cover of Ten Little Elves this Christmas.

Many thanks to all at Orchard who have worked so hard to make the books a success, in particular Frances Elks who has edited with elan and published with panache.

Some Reviews

'The 'Ten Little' books have been consistent best-sellers over the last few years, and are popular with kids, parents and grandparents alike. The latest in the series, Ten Little Elves, has been released just in time for Christmas. Featuring rhymes to help kids learn how to count in the most entertaining of ways, a lovely story that won't make bedtime reading a bore and excellent illustrations by Simon Rickerty, once you've read one, you'll want to pick up the entire series.'

(Evening Standard)

'Most riotous fun of all is Ten Little Dinosaurs by Mike Brownlow and Simon Rickerty (Orchard, two-plus). In a colourful countdown to mischief, the dinosaurs avoid being stomped on, eaten, drowned and exploded. Or are they? Sure to raise a roar of approval long before summer ends.'

 (Amanda Craig, New Statesman)

'A Bronto-Brilliant-T-Rexellent new '10' book from one of my fave picture book teams!'

(The Book Sniffer)

'Ten Little Pirates is a rollicking read with an easy rhythm and jaunty illustrations . . . an excellent addition to books that help with counting.'

Guardian

'Like a nautical knot, Mike Brownlow's new picture book ties together its counting lessons and bobbing rhymes with intricate neatness . . . Simon Rickerty's illustrations complement the jaunty verse with lots of humorous details to discover on every page.'
